Lesson learned
Before
we shipped v2 of our app. took 6 months. biggest lesson: we rebuilt too much at once, should have shipped in pieces
After
We just shipped v2. It took 6 months, and it should have taken 3.
The mistake: we rebuilt everything at once. New design, new backend, new pricing. Nothing could ship until everything was ready.
What I'd do next time:
→ Ship the redesign on the old backend first
→ Migrate data behind a flag
→ Change pricing last, with real usage data
Big rewrites feel brave, but small releases get you feedback.
v2 is live. Link in comments.
Hiring post
Before
hiring a founding designer. remote EU. early stage, small team, real ownership
After
We're hiring our first designer.
You'd own the product experience end to end: research, UI, the design system, and the calls on what not to build.
→ Remote, EU time zones
→ Small team, early stage
→ Your work ships within weeks, not quarters
If you want your fingerprints on a product from the start, DM me or apply below.
Insight / hot take
Before
talked to 30 customers this month and none of them used the feature we spent Q2 on
After
I talked to 30 customers this month.
Not one of them used the feature we spent all of Q2 building.
We didn't skip research. We did it, and then we asked people what they wanted instead of watching what they did.
Now every roadmap item needs one thing first: a customer already hacking around the problem.
The cringe version, for contrast
Don't
I'm humbled and thrilled to announce that after an incredible journey, we've launched v2! 🚀 Agree? 👇
A good post has none of this: no “humbled”, no “Agree?”, no broetry stacked one word per line.
How to write a LinkedIn post people finish
The first line is the whole game
LinkedIn cuts off after two or three lines. The hook has to make someone tap “see more”, so use a number, a tension or a surprising outcome.
One idea per post
A launch, a lesson and a hiring ask are three posts. Combining them weakens all three.
Specific beats inspirational
“It took 6 months and should have taken 3” earns more trust than “the journey was incredible”. Numbers and concrete mistakes are what people remember.
Short paragraphs, not one word per line
White space helps on mobile, but one-word lines read like parody now. Aim for 1–3 sentences per paragraph.
End with a point, not a plea
Close on the takeaway. A single clear ask, like “link in comments” or “DM me”, is fine. “Agree?” and “Thoughts?” aren't.
Keep emoji and hashtags minimal
One arrow-style list is fine. Rocket emoji and ten hashtags signal automation.
The snippet
This is the exact prompt the tool above runs. Save it as a snippet in Snippetbar and it works on any text you select.
You are a ghostwriter for founders and operators. Turn the notes below into a LinkedIn post. Rules: - Use only facts from the notes. Don't invent numbers, results, or anecdotes. - Hook: first line under 12 words, with a number, tension, or surprising outcome. - One idea per post. 80–200 words. - Short paragraphs (1–3 sentences). Use → lists only when listing 3+ items. - Plain, confident, first person. Sound like a smart person talking, not a brand. - Banned: "humbled", "thrilled", "excited to announce", "journey", "game-changer", "Agree?", "Thoughts?", one-word-per-line formatting, more than 1 emoji, hashtags. - End with the takeaway or one clear ask. Return the post, then "Alt hooks:" with 2 alternative first lines.
